Is English tutoring right for my child?
English can be one of the most challenging subjects for students—whether it’s essay writing, understanding texts, or building the confidence to express ideas clearly. With the right support, your child can thrive.
1:1 or small group tutoring offers:
✔ Clear guidance on how to plan and structure essays
✔ Support with grammar, vocabulary, and written expression
✔ Regular, personalised feedback so progress is visible
✔ Exam techniques that help reduce stress and boost results
✔ A confidence boost that often carries into other subjects
Every student learns differently. Tutoring gives your child the chance to work at their own pace, ask questions they might not ask in class, and feel genuinely supported.
Whether they’re struggling, coasting, or aiming high—English tutoring helps get them where they need to be.
All sessions run through Teams, a joining link will be sent to attendees prior to the sessions. Students are then sent the link for a Google Docs form where all of their work from their sessions will be stored for future reference and revision; the document becomes their own working revision file with detailed feedback throughout.

For each of the subjects I offer, I bring over 10 years of classroom experience, teaching in a large and successful secondary school where I also hold leadership responsibilities within the English department. Alongside teaching, I’ve spent eight years working as an examiner—giving me a deep understanding of what exam boards are really looking for. This all means I can offer students clear, confident guidance that’s rooted in real expertise.
